YZ Data
YOUR PRIVACY MATTERS

Privacy Policy

A clear view of how YZ Data handles information across the website, portal and mobile app.

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how YZ Data handles personal information when you use our website, web portal and mobile app in Nigeria. YZ Data is responsible for the information described here. Contact us at yzdatasupport@gmail.com or 09166326725 for privacy questions.

2. Information we collect

We may collect account information you provide, such as your name, email address, phone number and authentication details; information necessary for purchases or service requests, such as the recipient phone number, selected network, transaction amount and reference; wallet and payment status; messages you send to support; and technical information such as IP address, device type, browser, app version and security or diagnostic events. Identity-related services may require BVN or NIN where offered. We do not ask you to submit these identifiers by ordinary email.

3. How we use information

We use information to create and secure your account; provide requested telecom and digital services; show balances and transaction records; process and verify payments; respond to support requests; prevent fraud and abuse; maintain and improve reliability; and meet legal or regulatory obligations. We use information only for purposes appropriate to the service you request.

4. Legal grounds and choice

Where required by Nigerian law, our processing is based on your consent, performance of our agreement with you, compliance with legal obligations, or legitimate interests such as keeping the service secure. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it by contacting us, subject to legal and service requirements.

5. Sharing and service providers

We may share the minimum necessary information with mobile network operators, bill-payment and identity-verification providers, payment processors, banking partners, cloud-hosting and security providers, and support providers to deliver the service. We may disclose information where legally required or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information. Specific partner availability may change.

6. Payments and sensitive information

Payment partners may process payment credentials directly. Transaction records, wallet activity and any identity information are treated as sensitive. Do not share passwords or one-time codes with anyone. Access to personal records should be restricted to the relevant account and authorized personnel.

7. Data retention

We keep account and transaction information for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes, prevent fraud and comply with applicable financial, tax and other legal requirements. When no longer needed, information is deleted or de-identified, subject to backups and legal retention obligations.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect personal information, including account authentication, access controls and encrypted communications. No system is completely secure; please contact us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

9. International processing

Our infrastructure or service partners may process data outside Nigeria. Where this happens, we take steps intended to apply appropriate protections in line with applicable Nigerian data-protection requirements.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent where applicable; or request a copy of your data. To make a request, email us from your registered address. We may verify your identity before fulfilling a request, and some records may need to be retained by law. You may also raise a complaint with the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

11. Children

YZ Data is not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

12. Cookies and app permissions

The website may use essential storage to keep you signed in and protect your account. The mobile app may request permissions needed for features it offers; device settings allow you to review or revoke permissions. The app’s actual permissions and data-sharing disclosures should match its Google Play Data safety form. We do not use this policy to claim a permission is in use when the app does not request it.

13. Account and data deletion

To request deletion of your YZ Data account and associated personal information, see our account deletion page. You can email yzdatasupport@gmail.com from your registered email address with the subject “YZ Data account deletion request.” We will verify ownership and explain what can be deleted and which transaction or compliance records must be retained. Deleting the app from your device does not delete your account.

14. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our services or legal obligations change. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised effective date. Material changes may be communicated through the app, website or email where appropriate.
